Latest purchases: Topshop

Soooooooooooooooo, the day before myself and Jo essentially spent a whole day on the Topshop website. This was very very bad of us. We have exams in less than a week. Bad bad bad.

Regardless, earlier this evening I made an order. Damnit! Fiscal responsibility is not my strong point. Why do your coats have to be so nice Topshop? *shakes fist* Whatever. Here be poundsssssss. The conversion rate was scary.

Source: topshop.com

I am particularly excited to receive the coat. This purchase didn't even make sense because HELLO Australia is headed for summer. A wool coat is not useful then. But even with the scary conversion rate of pounds into AUD, the coat is still cheaper than any nice coat I might find here. And it will also probably fit me better too; most coats here are enormous, I don't understand it. Although, maybe the fact that Australia is now the most obese country in the freakin' world has something to do with it.

Anyway, I can see myself buying from Topshop a lot in future.... Terrifying, in its own way.

PS. Congrats America on your President-elect Obama!

ROFL. With all due respect serina, I can put whoever the fuck I like on my blog and if you actually knew anything about us you would know that the banner is ironic. Now fuck off and leave us in peace so I can maintain what litle respect I might have held for YOU.

Haha I am also infinitely amused. Mainly because my fist reaction was "wow....someone is READING and feels strongly negatively enough to RESPOND." And does that mean you DID have some respect for us to start off with? Once again, wow.

God bless the internet for producing such (retarted) people. I always thought we'd get into a cyber pissing match over my negative comments about other bloggers, not our choice of banner. Which I support Sisi in saying, quite obviously represents "Fuck you too I don't give a shit."

Again, thank you serina for providing some much needed amusement during exam preparation.

How much did the coat cost? It's nice. It's really nice. But I suspect your definition of 'cheaper than any nice coat I could find here' is somewhat different to my own.

The coat is 75 pounds, which at the current (crappy) conversion rate is about AUD175. Plus there's 7.50 pounds for postage but I'm regarding that as a sunk cost, thank you microeconomics!

But still, nice wool coats here are at least $300, so to me, $175 is pretty freaking fantastic.

Topshop currently have all these beautiful coats ;___; but I'm being good. Kinda. xD

Ooh, actually $175 is bordering on acceptable. I may look into it next winter!

How is the postage regarded as a sunk cost? You dont have to pay postage regardless of whether or not you order the coat.

Jerome, really don't you have anything better to do than stalk our blog? lol.

But your comment doesn't make any sense, and now I'm confused... wouldn't postage be regarded as a sunk cost because regardless of whether I return the order or not I have to pay postage? I don't get a refund on it, therefore it's a sunk cost.

RIGHT?

Take that king of economics.
